Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) Certified, I Specialize in data cleaning (ELT), modeling, and visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Qlksense. My goal? Making your business decisions super clear by following the numbers.
I have been working directly with CEOs and top level Managers every day for the last 10 years discussing business, corporate culture, and much more across all sorts of sectors. I bring a unique, balanced, and human vision to my Data Analysis. A perspective which allows me to help companies make insightful and impactful business decisions that go beyond just numbers.
I'm always looking to keep learning by doing analysis, cleaning, web-scraping, and making machine learning models in python using popular libraries such as Pandas, SK-Learn, Selenium, and many more. I'm also experienced and skilled in building low-code/no-code automation solutions using a variety of different tools.
Excited about IT since I was young, I first went to university at RIT for software development. After one year, I realized, as my English professor wrote, "Bryan wants to engage with bigger questions". I decided that software development didn't engage with bigger questions and ultimately transferred to Elon University where I double majored in Philosophy and Political Science.
Upon finishing my degrees I wanted to travel and see the world. I worked primarily as an English as a Second Language Teacher; where I spent time living in Morocco, South Korea, the Czech Republic, France, and finally landed on Reunion Island in 2013 where I continue to live today.
In Réunion, I worked for 5 years as a Freelance English Teacher before opening a language school in 2018. American Way Formation grew from a part time side-gig to a team of 6 teachers and more than 100 individual students at any moment, a success story built largely on the back of a self-developed ERP, automation, and the embracing the idea of "making your data work for you."
A chance opportunity in mid 2021 introduced me to the world of Data by working as a freelance Data Analyst for a new consulting firm. I quickly realized that Data Analysis represented the perfect blend of my skills and passions. A curiousity to ask why, find and produce evidence, and a passion for new and evolving technology. Looking for new challenges and wanting to shift away from teaching, I've found a new home in the world of Data
